We are starting out the year on a night photowalk, you are welcome night owls! For our first walk in 2019 we are going to explore around the second street district in Austin, TX.
Meeting and dinner location: Austin Java at City Hall {301 West 2nd Street, Austin, TX 78701}
When: Meet at 6:00 pm on January 4, 2018 for dinner until 7:00pm and get the group photo and start walk at 7:30 pm
What: Socialize, Take photos, share photos! Walk until 9:00 pm. The plan is to meet up at the Austin Java at City Hall at 6:00 pm, get the group photo about 7:15 pm, and then we walk until 9:00 pm. There will be lots to take photos of: people, architectural structures, locations to explore, and lots of details. We will be exploring around the 2nd Street District in the evening. Best of all there will probably be lots of opportunities for long exposure photos.
Why: Community! We are hanging out and walk as we take in the sights and sounds with lots to see. Please dress layered as it may be warm and then cool down.
How: RECOMMENDED: Bring Tripod, camera, off camera flash, creativity. Socialize when you come. Share photo ideas on the walk. You can also share online in the flickr group at http://www.flickr.com/groups/photowalksatx/. If you are not a member yet, just request membership. There is also a google community at Photowalks ATX community that you may request membership to. Also subscribe to the email list to get the email notifications in your box for the next walk!
To fully participate please make sure to be properly hydrated, dress appropriately too, wear comfortable walking shoes, talk to someone you do not already know.
